Finished Claymore

Just finished watching
Claymore. Great anime, though I must say the ending was rather... unsatisfying? It's not a bad ending, just doesn't give that great enticing feeling that other anime have given me. That is to say, I didn't feel like running outside with an eight-foot broadsword and slaying my neighbors trashcan. Which I'm sure they (and the trashcan) are grateful for.
Unfortunately after finishing the anime I found that there will be no season 2, which was a bummer because the series ends on a somewhat off-beat note. Overall however, the anime did manage to keep my attention and keep me awake through 2 (sometimes long) nights. The episodes get somewhat dull towards the middle when you get a grip on the plotline; the rest just kinda goes downhill from there. My final decision on this anime (and thereby its rating) is...

Hot babes + Giant
Swords and violence > Fried Rice & White Sause

Reasoning:

(+) Epic fight scenes (that is... up until the end where everyone is just a flash of light flickerin across the screen)

(-) Somewhat anticlimactic ending with loose ends

(+) Pretty colorscapes (a nice trait that holds constant through the entire anime)

(-) Predictable plotline (Nothing new really happens, its the same concept throughout)

(+) Great combination of slashing, suspense, surprises,
giant swords, monsters and women!
