Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is another summer anime I'm anticipating. Based off the concept of what would happen if Tokyo were hit with a magnitude 8 earthquake (paralleling Tokyo's actual 70% quake chance) , the storyline follows a small girl named Miria. The anime opens up with Miria and her brother on Yutaka on Odaiba island at a robot exhibition. As the tremor begins Tokyo tower and rainbow bridge crumble and the landscape of Tokyo changes instantly. With the aid of a motorcycle delivery woman named Mari, Mirai and Yutaka struggle to find their way back to their home in western Tokyo.
Supposedly the directing company (Bones - the same people who created Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex) is attempting to make the anime as realistic as possible by creating computer generated sims of the actual buildings of Tokyo.

Thus, whether you are into anime or just like to watch buildings crumble into the dust, this should be the show for you!
